This is not a cold and technical post about the wonders you will find in Mailrelay. This is a text full of mixed feelings, written by a user who has faced many fears, who has passion for the newsletters. Of course, you may think, how anyone can be in love with a newsletter?
But it’s true, you can think i am crazy, to me these things are extremely important. I love blogging, I am passionate about what I do, and when you spend most of your time working with your website, you will fall in love with it.
Bye Chimp, hello Mailrelay.
Tick tick. The clock would not stop and my head was full of doubts. You have until January 31 to migrate to Mailrelay, I was thinking about it daily. In addition, there were the voices of my friends, who also are bloggers.
You’re still in Mailchimp ?. But if you get a fine?
Is it worth risking your project. If you change to mailrelay, you will have many advantages.
I am stubborn by nature and I don’t like to do the same as everyone else, but with my newly started business, I couldn’t take an unnecessary risk. After a few days, I was filled with courage and patience and started working. This was my pilgrimage journey:

- Phase 1: Preliminary and migration
- Phase 2: Panic and frustration
- Phase 3: Solving problems and asking for help
- Phase 4: The calm
- Phase 5: Success
CHRONIC
I had the target platform, Mailrelay and a corporate e-mail to create the account. Free emails as gmail, yahoo, hotmail are not valid for creating the account.
If you have a web host, you can create an email account. If you only have your domain, you could create a corporate email for Free with Zoho email.
All excited, I created my account and migrated my list from Mailchimp. However, after this first step, I had doubts, which even if they were basic, were making me crazy. The next steps, customizing the subscription form, adapting my pop-up from Sumome, were more difficult for me, as i couldn’t do it, and therefore I could not go to the next phase.
I decided that before I would go crazy, it was time to ask for help.
The chat and email support Mailrelay offers were my salvation. Although when you create an account they send a help guide and the blog is full of tutorials, I was totally down and with negative thoughts, when I am full of doubts, it looks like I will never do anything right. When I solved a problem I encountered another. When I could configure the form exactly as I wanted, I received a warning that my newsletter could land directly in to the Spam folder. Or a similar warning, which to me was a terrible problem.
Everything was related to a term I didn’t know about, SPF and DKIM. again I went back to the chat and the ticket system, to get more information so that I could understand exactly what I needed to change on my DNS.
So much effort, so I needed a period of calm, but I needed to be sure that everything was almost ready. After i created it all, I just needed a template for the newsletter and some autoresponders (before I had to pay for this feature. (I now have this for free) I send an welcome email that includes a link to download my ebook Easyseo. Although Mailrelay provides a variety of predefined templates, I wanted to create my own from scratch, (as I prefer to use a template with my personal touch).
Everything was ready, I could stop using the old system and now I have a new software to work with and I love it. I was dependent on the other system, but I am very pleased with the results obtained with Mailrelay. I honestly wish I had known about this system and dared to change to this platform a long time ago.
Mailrelay meets all my needs and they even taught me to do things I had no idea I could do with an email marketing provider, such as surveys with my newsletters.
My partner is not a chimp anymore, it is a different system that treats me like a queen. It offers me statistics, the communication is 10, it let me send 75,000 emails every month for free, I certainly could not miss this opportunity.
And the best thing is that you can also create an account to use this system and I promise I will not get jealous.
Oh, I almost forgot. Can I tell you a little secret? Since I’m with Mailrelay, the traffic coming to my blog through the newsletters tripled. Do you know where I’ve seen this information? on Google Analytics (which is another system that I also work with) it is very important to have all this information to measure the results.

I don’t know what was happening with my emails before, because the content was the same, if I am honest, I think they were probably landing straight as spam. Whatever it was, now I can say that my emails are reaching more people and they are causing more interactions than before. I soon hope to create the perfect newsletter.
And I owe it all to this fantastic system. I love Mailrelay ..,

P.S :. To add a point, hopefully soon they will be adding an app. My phone is eager to test its pleasures as well, it would be great to use it on my smartphone.
