Parts of a snippet<\/h2>\n<p>A snippet has the following elements, information that the search engine collects from the HTML of the web page itself and displays in the result:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>URL or web address.<\/strong> Shows the address or URL that will be accessed when we click on the page title or the web address itself.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Page title.<\/strong> It&#8217;s taken from the tag<code>&lt;title&gt;<\/code> and used to create the result&#8217;s title. For example:  <code>&lt;title&gt;Mailrelay -<\/code> <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/\" title=\"Email marketing campaigns\"><code>Email marketing y campa\u00f1as efectivas<\/code><\/a><code>&lt;\/title&gt;<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It should be between 40 and 60 characters long, as well as include the keyword you want to rank for. By clicking on the title, the visitor accesses the URL or page it corresponds to. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Description or summary of the page.<\/strong> It&#8217;s used to show a preview text where the user sees a brief description of what they&#8217;ll find when visiting the page. Its value is taken from the meta tag<code>&lt;description&gt;<\/code>, for example:  <code>&lt;meta name=\"Description\" content=\u201cEn esta p\u00e1gina tienes trucos y consejos para tu marketing digital!\u201d&gt;<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It should be between 130 and 155 characters long, as well as the keyword or its synonyms, which will appear in bold when they match the user&#8217;s search. It&#8217;s the most important part of the snippet and needs to be worked on, since it&#8217;s vital for increasing the chances of getting visits. <\/p>\n<p>If we don&#8217;t fill in the meta tag<code>&lt;description&gt;<\/code>, Google uses the first 150 or 160 characters of the web page to fill it in.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Rich snippets<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to conventional snippets, there are other types of snippets called: rich snippets.<\/p>\n<p>Rich snippets contain multimedia elements that make them more attractive, making it easier to catch the visitor&#8217;s attention and therefore achieving a higher CTR than conventional ones.<\/p>\n<p>Snippet results are generated through the use of title and description meta tags, while rich snippets are generated through structured data markup on the web page.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the data Google uses to create rich snippets includes: article, book, course, reviews, authors, products, organizations, recipes, events, podcast, music, etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-54534","glossary","type-glossary","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
