It is essential to improve and optimize the images of your newsletters before sending your email marketing campaign, no matter the email marketing software you are using, not only so that it is correctly displayed, but also due to the fact that the newsletter size must be as small as possible, so that the user can download the email faster.<\/p>\n

It is very important to know how to do this, especially if we think of subscribers who are using mobile devices. We’ve talked about it in previous articles, but today we will address the issue from another angle, so that you can easily prepare and upload your images to our email marketing software.<\/p>\n

Often, many users don’t have available time to learn how to work with more advanced image editing tools. In these cases, it is important to have at your disposal an easy and fast tool for image optimization.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This can occur especially when the designer, agency or stock photo company sends a file with a high resolution and several megabytes, useful for printing but not for email marketing.<\/p>\n

This has two problems, first, you would have to resize the width and height in pixels so that it would visually fit properly in a newsletter which will have at most about 900 pixels wide.<\/p>\n

You can resize the image in the HTML editor, if you choose Mail<\/span>relay<\/strong> as your email marketing software you will be able to change the size in which the image will be displayed, but the file size in MB will remain the same and the email will take longer to be loaded, also, you would be spending more credits (Mail<\/span>relay<\/strong>, email marketing accounts an additional email for each 100kb, so it is important to optimize the images before sending your email marketing campaign, to save on the cost of your mailing).<\/p>\n

How to quickly prepare the images for your email marketing software?<\/h3>\n

To solve both problems with one tool, optimize the pixel size of the image and decrease the file size, you can use a very fast and simple method. The snipping tool available in Windows Vista and newer versions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can search for this tool by clicking start and entering Snipping Tool:<\/strong><\/p>\n

When it opens, you can already start taking snapshots:<\/p>\n

Now, just double click on the image you want to optimize, it will open in the image viewer by default. Now, you should zoom to adjust the size you want your subscribers to see when they receive the newsletter.<\/p>\n

After that, press alt + tab to go back to the snipping tool window, (you can move the image to the side if it cannot be displayed correctly).<\/p>\n

On this screen, you can click the New button and crop the image with the size it is being displayed.<\/p>\n

Now, click the Save button<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

You can create a new JPG file with the correct size to use in your newsletter.<\/p>\n

And everything is already ready for uploading the images to the email marketing software of your choosing and send your email campaign<\/p>\n

This is a very good and easy feature that you can use when you have to adjust your images, to send email marketing campaigns.<\/p>\n
